"The directions and advice should ensure a fan-friendly experience for spectators when they come to enjoy the best of international cricket at our state-of-the-art stadium"

Dubai Sports City today issued directions and advice to members of the public intending to attend the One-Day International matches between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday 11, Monday 14 and Friday 18 November.

Each match will start at 1500 and free parking, as well as Express Paid Parking, is available and can be accessed via the following routes:
* Driving along Emirates Road (E311) from Sharjah, drive past the stadium on your left until reaching the Green Community roundabout. Turn around and head back towards the stadium;
* From Sheikh Zayed Road, take the 7th interchange and drive along E77 until reaching the Green Community roundabout. Turn left at that roundabout and the stadium will be on the right-hand side.

Signs near the stadium will direct drivers to parking areas. A map with these directions is attached to this media release, is available for editorial use and can also be accessed via the Dubai Sports City website at: http://www.dubaisportscity.ae/uploads/Events/PakvsSLMap.pdf

Provision has been made for Jumma Prayers at 1220, very close to the stadium, and there will be signs directing people to the area where they will take place.

Dubai Sports City General Manager Sports Business Mr Maqbul Dudhia said: "With so many top players on show for the matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and with two of our three matches taking place on Fridays, we are expecting large crowds to attend.

"On that basis we would advise the public to arrive in good time to ensure they dont miss any of the action from the star names, including Lasith Malinga, Shahid Afridi, Kumar Sangakkara, Abdul Razzaq and a host of other leading players.

"With the rapid pace of construction of roads and infrastructure around Dubai Sports City and the surrounding area we also want to ensure that those attending the matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium are aware of how best to reach the venue.

"The directions and advice should ensure a fan-friendly experience for spectators when they come to enjoy the best of international cricket at our state-of-the-art stadium."

Tickets for the matches in Dubai start from just AED25 and are available by phone and online from Box Office ME, Time Out Dubai and the Ticketing Co., as well as numerous outlets in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, with details available at http://www.dubaisportscity.ae/articledisplay.asp?id=78

Provision has been made for Jumma Prayers at 1220, very close to the stadium, and there will be signs directing people to the area where they will take place.
